1954 National 1103 Del Mar:
 
Made during a fascinating period of American instrument making, this National Model 1103 "Del Mar" archtop actually features a Gibson-made body!
 
By 1947, the Chicago Musical Instrument Company owned both Gibson and Valco, the parent brand of National and Dobro at the time. While they had the means to manufacture solid-bodied lap steels, Valco's archtop bodies were contracted to Gibson. Specifically, the National Model 1103 features the same body dimensions as the Gibson ES-350.
 
This particular example is all original, including the hardware and pickups, and features no breaks or repairs.
