1967 Epiphone FT-45 Cortez
Epiphone FT-45 Cortez:
Built alongside the Kalamazoo-made LG-2's and B-25's, the FT-45 Cortez was Epiphone's (then recently acquired by Gibson) offering of a small body flat-top.
Measuring 14 1/4" wide at the lower bout, 19" long, and 4 1/2" deep, the FT-45 shared the same body dimensions as FT-30 Epiphone Caballero and Gibson LG-0.
Featuring mahogany back and sides, an X-braced solid spruce top, and rosewood fretboard, this guitar is both punchy and articulate, making it an excellent guitar for recording.
This particular instrument has undergone a professional bridge modification to accommodate a drop-in saddle, replacing the adjustable saddle original to later iterations of this model.
The original chip-board case is included with this guitar.
