1953 Martin D-28:

By 1947, the Martin D-28 had adopted some notable spec changes, including a switch to large graduated dot fretboard inlays, six-ply black/white binding in lieu of herringbone binding, as well as a narrow "chainlink" backstripe, replacing the previous "zipper" pattern.

The bridge on this guitar has been re-glued and a bridge doctor has been installed. All work done has been professionally confirmed and assessed to be in suitable condition.

This 1953 example has replaced Grover Rotomatic tuners, the top finish has been stripped, and a notable chip in the headstock on the treble side. Additionally, the back of the neck displays marks from suspected capo use throughout this guitar's life.

This instrument comes with a non-original hardshell case.
