This Guild Starfire Bass II is a modern recreation from the Newark St. Collection, capturing the vibe and sound of the iconic 1960s semi-hollow bass. Favored by legendary players, the Starfire II is known for its warm, resonant tone thanks to its semi-hollow Mahogany body (arched top and back) and short scale length (30 3/4").
This model features the highly sought-after dual Guild BS-1 BiSonic pickups, renowned for their unique clarity, warmth, and smooth output, crucial to the vintage Starfire sound. The comfortable 3-piece Mahogany/Maple neck has a vintage soft "U" profile and an Ebony fingerboard.
Controls include individual volume and tone for each pickup, a master volume, and a 3-way toggle switch. This particular bass is designated as Made in China (MIC), offering the classic Starfire II experience at an accessible price point within the Newark St. line.
