1968 Aria A544FS Flamenco – Friction Pegs
Aria A544FS Flamenco:
Designed for Aria by the legendary Japanese luthier Ryoji Matsuoka, the A544FS was Aria's offering of a premium nylon-string guitar best suited for flamenco playing and adjacent genres, featuring traditional Spanish building techniques, a solid cedar top with cypress back and sides, and its original golpeador (tap plate), protecting the instrument from more percussive playing styles.
Additionally, this model came stock with friction peg tuners, reminiscent of some of Antonio de Torres Jurado's earliest creations.
This instrument is loud, full, and punchy, designed specifically to accompany dancers without amplification, though it also lends itself to more dynamic "flamenco nuevo" styles, offering rich tones and excellent articulation.
This instrument comes with a TKL hardshell case.
