1929 Gibson L-0

This is a 1929 Gibson L-0 acoustic guitar with all-mahogany construction. L-0 models from this era (1928-1931) are small-bodied with a mahogany top, back, sides, and neck, and a rosewood fretboard and bridge.
This instrument has a new bridge and saddle and includes a homemade coffin case. These pre-war Gibson L-0s are sought after for their dry, articulate tone, often associated with early blues and folk, similar to the guitar used by Robert Johnson. Its Factory Order Number can confirm its 1929 origin.
